Start Making Money Online for Beginners

Start Making Money Online with Clickbank

One of the easier and quicker ways to start making an income online with be with a term called affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is simply promoting another company or persons products in exchange for a commission. Clickbank.com is free to sign up with and you can begin promoting products within minutes from signing up.

For those who already have knowledge about earning income online, this may be a review as this post is aimed to those who have no experience with online marketing, or making money online. I am going to try to keep this as simple as possible.

Step #1- Head over to Clickbank.com and sign up for a FREE account. This will be called your "Publisher ID". Once you have this you can begin to promote any of the products in their marketplace and earning commissions.

Step #2- Browse their Marketplace for a product that interests you, even better, something you have knowledge about. If you have a blog or website, you definitely want to find a product that caters to the interests of your readers. Your "Niche" as online marketers call it.

You see, Clickbank offers "digital products", things like ebooks, membership sites, etc. This is based on a great premise that the biggest and most profitable commodity is INFORMATION. So let's say for example you run a blog that caters to pet owners. Let's say dog owners in particular. Well you would search Clickbank, and find products that are related to that topic. There is one product that actually sells very well on this topic and pays extremely high commissions!

Once you perform a search of the Marketplace you will find both products and great detail of information pertaining to exactly how much commission you will be paid for every sale you make of that product, as well as a "Gravity" Score. Basically meaning how popular that item is. How marketable it has been for other affiliates. Generally, you would want to choose a product that has proved to already be doing well within that topic. However, you must find a balance, as you do not want to market a product that has been saturated all across the Internet already.

Step #3- Once you have located the product that you wish to promote you will click on a link called "Create a Hoplink". Clickbank gives specific instructions as how to do this, it is a very simple thing. All you are doing is creating a link that is unique to you and your "Publisher ID". This is so you will receive credit when a sale is made by you, making sure ONLY you can make money from the sale and not someone else.

Step #4- Now that you have your product picked out and you have your unique tracking link "HOPLINK", it is time to start marketing your chosen product and begin making sales and MONEY!

There are numerous ways to go about this. If you have a blog you would simply want to write an article such as one like this. Make it personal, be helpful, give USEFUL information. Within that article you can include your HOPLINK, like a recommendation of sorts. When someone clicks this link and makes a purchase, you will be credited with that sale immediately and can see your sales totals and statistics within the Clickbank control panel when you log in on their site.

Market Your Product with Google Adwords

Another way you can begin to reach potential customers immediately is with Google Adwords. This puts your ad on their search results whenever anyone is searching for a keyword or "search term" which you decide. You actually pick when you want your ad to appear based on what the user is searching for.  This means, using our example from above, if you were marketing the "Dog Training" course, you could create an add with whatever text you want to say and have that ad linked to your unique url, so when someone clicks on this ad, they will be taken to the product page, and if they purchase, you make money!

Pretty simple concept. What is really great with this system, is with you deciding which keywords, or search terms you wish to advertise on, your ad is being served at the exact time a potential customer is searching for what you have to offer. They are coming to you, instead of the old "forced" advertising method like TV commercials where the ad is showed to a prospect that may or may not even be interested in that particular product. Basically, they have already said "hey I'm looking for what you have to sell". Nothing better than a customer who has already "qualified" themselves.

To sign up with Adwords, simply go to Google.com/adwords and create an account. They give you step-by-step easy to follow instructions for creating an account in about 5 minutes.

What you will do once you set up your advertising account is create an ad campaign. Basically you will create a short ad with a headline of up to 25 characters, a body with up to 160 characters, and the URL or website you want to send those who click on your ad to. For examples of this, simply go to Google and perform a search and you will see these ads on the top in the shaded area and also along the right side of your screen displayed along side the search results.

These ads you will be creating are called PPC or Pay per Click Ads. Meaning this, you do NOT pay a single dime unless someone clicks on your ad and is delivered to the site that you want to send them to. Therefore, you don't pay a dime unless that person sees what you are offering to sell them! It's a very unique and profitable form of marketing.

Here Are Some Helpful Tips When Creating Pay per Click Ads

You are going to do 2 things when you set up your advertising campaign inside Google Adwords. The first thing will be to create an ad. Here's a tip that has saved me a lot of money.. Include the product price in the ad, or at least some mention that the product you are offering has a cost and is NOT FREE. This will save you money on useless clicks coming from FREEBIE seekers. You are targeting those that are in buyer mode here!

Second, you are going to pick "keywords" or "search terms" to match your ad to. For example, if you decide to market a product that teaches people to speak Spanish, you could select the keyword "Learn to Speak Spanish". Your ad would then show alongside search results whenever someone searched on Google for "learn to speak Spanish". Very Targeted!

Well there is some basic information to get you started for now. On my next posts I will include other methods of free and low cost ways to promote your product online and make money! Including, advertising on Facebook, Blogging, Twitter, Forums, etc...

Feel free to post comments or questions you may have below and I will do my best to assist you in any way that I can.
